Using a metal detector for beginners may be the greatest step to revealing the world. Many examples refer to the increasing interest in metal detecting. When you want to start your journey with your detector, you will step up your new experience.
Though it's easy to say start detecting as a new, you must understand the basic knowledge of the particular topic. If you do well, you can be sure that you can do it.
The problem that faces almost all the beginners with the metal detector is discussing here. We will cover-up our thought & ideas and the solution to you.
Where does the problem come from?
The metal detector is made with two individual parts that are the control box and the coil. These two parts affect the user experience during work, and all the problems are mainly derived from these two parts. We will explain and give you the solution to the problem that imparts both the control box and the coil.
Do you know why does your metal detector keeps beeping?
A metal detectorist may face several problems. But all of them, the beeping is one of the most common problems. The reason may be described in two ways. The first one is the battery, and the second one is the coil itself.
When the battery gives low power to the device, the problem may arise. You have to change the battery; when you change the battery, you will see the difference. You will observe there is no beeping. If it is still beeping, Let's informed the second option.
When the beeping is not stopped after inserting a battery, you have to look back at your coil. Suppose you are using a detector for a long time. Then there may be the possibility of damaging the coil.
So, check your coil, if there any problem you have to change the coil. When all are setting up, you are ready to start your journey.
The heart of the device is a control box. Alert and detection are receiving through the control box. Some other individual accessorial parts that make the device full fill are the battery, all plugging ports, internal circuits, etc.
The only power source of the device is the battery. Most of the time, the detector problem of unusual sound occurs to a low battery charge or old battery. The detector needs enough power to smoothly operates to detect the desired metal.
To avoid all the unusual sounds, always look after the battery charge percentage. If the battery is hard enough to supply power, then change it.
The cable that comes from the coil portion needs to connect perfectly to the control box. If there is any gap or lose connection, it may be the problem of a smooth operating experience.
Sometimes the cable leakage is the reason for the wrong alert. So you should check the cable before using the detector.
Some other factors that may be the reason for distraction for your control box are internal moisture, extreme heat, etc.
The control box is assembled with individual and little parts extremely against water droplets. Suppose your control box is great moisture to touch the parts of any droplets that can result in a false alarm. In that, the situation you don't want to false alarm, Right?
The heating issues are always arising from these kinds of electric devices. But for the metal detectors, it's not the major issue.
Metal detector coil problems.
The coil is the frontal part of the detector that lying down to the soil level and pushes the signal and primarily received it.
The metal detector problem is also the reason for using a bad coil. Using a coil for a long time may be the reason for the false and unusual sound.
The coil related problem is arising with these parts:
i. A Connector
When you reform the detector, you have to connect the port between cable and coils. Loose connection maybe arising the reason for emerging the problem of detection. If you face these problems, check the connector first.
ii. A cable
A quality cable can transmit a better signal than the leakage cable. A leakage cable can ruin your day. You will face an awkward sound if your cable is damaged. From the control box to the coil connector, you have to choose a quality cable without a damaged or leakage one.
iii. A cable entry point
You should also check the cable entry point. This part has a high possibility of breaking or damaging the cable.
If your cable hard enough to break, then you have not to worry about it. But if there any chance of braking, you can make a loop with the cable entry point for extra protection. But this is not compulsory.
iv. The coil itself.
The coil is the most sensitive part of a metal detector. Because of the coil transmit and receive the signals from the soil level. If there are any dents, crack of detector that can cause you false signal, and that's not your want, Right?
A bad coil feels you false and widespread readings. It means when you left the place wherefrom the signals come aren't in the same position. When you left the position, the alarm will warn you, and you dig the soil but get not any things. This a big problem for a metal detectorist. So, Check the coil as well as cable, cable connector, and control box for getting no issues during work.
Other Perpetual Reason of Detection Problem:
Electro-magnetic interference that causes the disturbance of the detection to the right place of metal. It interferes with the frequency that receives the signals from the external source. As a result, the targeted substance will be dislocated from its situation.
The sensitivity of a metal detector is measurable due to the specific individual details, whatever the size or type of the substance.
A smaller piece of metal can be easily detectable if the sensitivity of the metal detector is better. Sensitivity depends on the coil. So if your coil showing crack or dents, then there is less chance to get high sensitivity. In that case, you have to change the coil and get your detection perfect.
Almost every task is a little unsettled, and every work has its sorts of problems. You have to skill enough to overcome it.
Whatever the problem is, everything has a solution. So as far as your detector needs your co-operation. Pick your problem and solve it.
